Family Carers - coping with festivities?
To help you through...
For many people with ongoing or chronic conditions (such as autism, addictions or eating disorders or OCD), celebrations, anniversaries and other festivities may bring added stress with different and unexpected situations to cope with.

For families trying to give extra support to a loved one, as well as trying to make sure everyone enjoys the time together, these can bring much added strain.

And where someone is missing from the family circle, the gap is a constant reminder of times past,  of what is missing, of what might have been.

Being aware of possible extra stress, and trying to support each other through the difficulties can help each family member cope better through the difficult days.
