When to give info?

For care to be at its most effective, it needs to have continuity of approach.  In general, it is better to have too much information and some of it not needed, than to be without necessary information and be totally unprepared.

In some situations it is not possible to be prepared, but in many having good reliable information to help prepare for and deal with all eventualities is the key to successful outcome.  Where challenging behaviour is part of an unhappy life picture, home carers finding and effectively using relevant information about the condition and best responses to provide best support can be a very important important key.
